about stellareese

Rachel and Geoff grew up in Calistoga and Saint Helena, the two northern towns of Napa Valley. Living amongst the beautiful vines, the valley's many outstanding wineries and experiencing the turning of the seasons every year enticed them into the romance of the wine world. In 2007 Rachel's employer Greg Brown, founder of T-Vine Cellars, encouraged her to try her hand at making wine. Rachel and Geoff then embarked on the adventure of wine making, founding Stellareese Wines.

Our Name

Stellareese is Rachel's middle name. A name created by a couple of hippie parents and too much "A Street Car Named Desire"... "STELLA!"

The Label

The front Label was painted in by Rachel during her time at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. The image is known as The Golden Mean, or The Golden Ratio. It is a mathematical concept that expresses the relationship of two parts of a whole with each other and with the whole. It is found not only in math but in art, architecture and nature. In Nature it represents the beginning of life. That Spiral that is the beginning life.
